Some brief info
May. 19th, 2013 11:33 amName: Ianthe (ee-ahn-theh)
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Race: Vessel
Class: Arcanist (medic subclass)
Ianthe, like most Vessels, was largely unaware of the outside world when the guild from Tharsis stumbled into the Misty Ravine. Once they had, however, the youth became fascinated with this vast new world that was now open to him, and the instant Wufan, the Vessels' leader, allowed them to venture out, he jumped at the chance to join an adventuring party and witness the outside world for himself.
Ianthe, despite being an adult, is incredibly naiive about anything beyond the Misty Ravine where he was born. He approaches everything with the zeal and carelessness of a curious puppy. This has a tendency to cause trouble, as his curiosity often outweighs caution. Though he is ignorant, he is not stupid, and actually has a rather quick mind for the technical, and picks up new skills (such as medicine) easily. His dream is to one day see the whole world, and experience as much as he can.
Strengths and weaknesses:
Vessels are an unusual race. They are naturally gifted with magic and nimble of foot, but incredibly fragile of body. So much so that at a glance, it would appear that the entire species is afflicted with anorexia. Their limbs and fingers are lanky and twiglike, and look like they could snap in a stiff breeze. True, they are brittle, but they make up for it with their arcane arts.
Most Vessels choose to be Arcanists. Arcanists are skilled in setting traps in the form of magic circles that cause various effects to a wide area when laid down. For example, Snare Circle will cause vines to burst from the earth and bind the feet of all enemies within, and Sleep Circle will cause all enemies to instantly fall asleep. In addition, circles will heal allies within the circle, and can be dismissed to either heal the party, or explode to deal massive damage to the enemy.
